Vacation Program
School is out, but fun is in! During our vacation program your child will have the opportunity to build lasting friendships, get creative, be active, and most of all have fun. HCAs vacation program will be open for preschool- 8th grade during the February and April vacation week, and a six week program during the summer.
Week 1: February 17-20, 2026
Week 2: April 21-24, 2026

THEME: In the Belly of the Whale (Under the Sea)
PreK/ K Schedule:
8:00-9:00 Arrival, breakfast/ snack from home and chill time
9:00-11:00 Activity choices- creative and active during this time students can move between choices they don’t have to say in one area.
First Round of Activities:
9:00-10:00 Creative- (example) Making a sandy underwater ocean scene using different media
Active- (example) Sharks vs. Fish Tag game
Second Round of Activities:
10:00-11:00 Creative- (example) Mini cup octopus
Active- (example) Fishy Fishy Cross My Ocean
11:00-11:30 Rest time

11:30-12:00 Outside/ Recess (free play)
12:00-12:30 Lunch from home
12:30-1:30 Big group activity or challenge, similar to a Timothy group. Ages are altogether, and they are completing a challenge (example: whole school scavenger hunt)
1:30-2:00 Back to individual grade groups for a short Group Team Building Activity
2:00-3:00 Free Play, a great time to go back outside, or finish projects from earlier in the day

3:00-3:30 Making and eating a HCA-provided snack, could be something related to the theme (example: graham cracker ocean scenes with cream cheese and goldfish)
3:30-4:15 Altogether, outdoor recess activity
4:15-5:00 Clean Up and Quiet Activities
Elementary Schedule (same as PreK/K but no “rest time”):

Counselor in Training (CIT) Program (6th-8th Grade)
The Counselor-in-Training program is for 6th- 8th grade. We are looking for students who would like to gain experience in mentoring younger students. These students will have the opportunity to plan and run their own activities with the help of our assistants. CITs will also be able to participate in any of the activities that are already being offered & will follow the same schedules listed above.
